For corporate clients in Southeast Asian countries, we conducted due diligence checks of their stationery, apparel, and kitchenware suppliers based in China.  The investigations included site visits to production facilities of the Chinese suppliers to gather first-hand information on their operations.

For an Asia Pacific-focused green energy fund, we conducted high-level inquiries on the prospect of clean energy sector in Indonesia, during which we spoke to senior government officials, senior police officers in charge of energy-related frauds, a leader of the state-owned electricity company, and other senior ranking government and industry sources in Indonesia.

For a non-governmental organization, we conducted an investigation into the financial standing and ultimate stakeholders of several entities in Singapore and Malaysia.  Over the course of our research, we also uncovered hidden links between the entities.

For a Singapore-based consultancy, we investigated a controversial Malaysian non-profit organization.  At client’s direction, we worked out its complex organizational structure, identified its key decision makers and summarized red-flags involving the organization.

For a mining company, we conducted a fraud investigation into its Southeast Asian subsidiaries, during which our team visited far-flung villages with limited access to electricity.  On site, we investigated the mine, interviewed local villagers and found that the subject companies had fabricated a report on their project progress to get more funding from their parent company.

 

For a global consultancy, we conducted an intellectual property infringement investigation in several Southeast Asian countries.  Over the course of our investigation, we conducted background checks of the infringers, located their factories and mapped the flow of counterfeit goods from Southeast Asia to other parts of the world.
